 DreamRender - "My Thoughts"

DreamRender is one of the most unique programs of all times... Originally designed for windows 98, it uses the Explorer shell and an old plugin collecting dust to create an eccentric effect for your wallpaper. Basically running 3D wallpaper. My only real interest is something that was only a second thought. There are several tools that DreamRender comes with, an Icon re-placer... Which using the same idea allows for GIF images to be usable Icons...
Basically Icons in motion. And my favorite tool is a mouse cursor re-placement. This tool uses a very odd method and I have never seen it replicated... The cursor is able to have effect, for lack of a better word... Mine for instance is metallic 3D blue/green with 3 rotating metal skullz dangling under it like charms... adjustable and completely configurable rotational speed, distance, shape, size, ect... All together DreamRender is an amazingly unique program, and a must see... I may be the for most authority on the tool pack aside from the author... Looking at the previous post, It does work and very well [on windows 98]. It will work on Windows 7 and 8 and 10 and so on...
It just is exceptionally buggy, hens the reason the program was abandoned. I would suggest it's not the program that is the issue but the explorer plugin... which was abandoned... Microsoft doesn't pay attention to what they put into the OS and has dragged this plugin into Windows only due to oversight. Eventually the plugin will disappear and DreamRender wont work... So as I said worth the headache to get it working and yes it will work on any Windows OS up to 7 [As I have verified] More then likely 8 but 10 maybe not. I can't remember the name of the plugin, sorry... It was a major feature of Win98SE. But yeah there you guys go. Hope this post was enjoyable.... Dreamrender 2.20 is the least stable I use 2.19 and later... It sadly is a novelty, a must see but not something you would use. The graphical ability is dated and the bugs are unbearable, Yet it's never been reproduced nothing even close to this idea exists... I mentioned there are 3 tools that come with DreamRender, all by different authors and uniquely coded differently. Whether buggy or not respect given to those responsible...
